My concept of photography is that any and everything is photographically art and worth the time to investigate further. To capture the essence of American life is attentiveness to the possibilities that are abound on every street corner, every home closet and every social paradigm. My primary interest is street photography and the simple snapshots of a moment in time. Street photography is by definition photography that is non-manipulated, simplistic, the capture of raw material of ubiquitous subjects in a moment of social condition. My idea of street photography can be applied to the boundless possibilities that can be found along any city street in America; people working, locals on their way to or from work, doing errands, shopping, to tourists enjoying the sights of a city. Formalistically, one may never consider the act of walking down a city a street photographic art, but art can be found virtually everywhere. Though as you will see my concept of photography and art is far from the instructive conceptualization of pretty flowers and seascapes. I see beauty in a discarded broken doll that another may find revolting, and thus, its beauty is brought to center focus. Perhaps all of my work has that central tone; if it is liked great, if not, even better.
